Travis believes that the future of Minnesota rests on every child receiving a world-class education, with strong parental involvement, stable funding, and the best personnel. Investing in high-quality early education programs will yield a substantial long term return on our investment. These programs designed to prepare both parents and children for kindergarten will have positive benefits during every child's K-12 experience. The time for reforming how we fund education is now. Ensuring a successful future for Minnesota's educational system requires a stable funding system that provides significant property tax relief for Minnesotans. Additionally, Minnesota's students deserve excellent teachers in their classrooms and responsible administrators in their schools. To fill these roads will require recruiting the best talent, encouraging their growth, and rewarding their achievements.

Travis believes that education is a lifelong process, and that making higher education affordable and accessible to Minnesotans throughout their lives will give Minnesota a workforce second to none. Minnesota's system of community and technical colleges provides a tremendous value to our educational system, yet barriers continue to prevent Minnesotans from accessing two-year degree programs. Travis will work to remove the barriers that prevent dedicated, hardworking individuals from enhancing their abilities at our colleges and universities. Minnesota's colleges and universities are economic engines, which drive the innovative research that has the potential to spur job growth in Minnesota's private sector.
